and I’m finally starting to wish I’d bothered with dinner tonight.
Maybe I’ll just ignore my tummy and go to sleep. Dunno yet.
I understand why my employer cannot tell us why a coworker was fired at 4 pm on Friday — I really get it — but I think there should be some way for them to fill us in so we don’t have to waste the whole day speculating. We would have been a lot more productive today if someone had just told us what was going on and why it happened.
Granted, Fired Guy was an arrogant asshole and not liked. It was also well understood that he was not the guy to call for a crisis because he couldn’t be bothered. I voted against hiring him. When he walked into the interview, he slouched down in the chair and you could just tell that he didn’t give a shit because he already knew that he had most of the people in that room eating out of his hand. There were only a few people who saw through the bullshit.
But still, getting fired has to suck.
I was scanning the job listings earlier. It’s bad out there. Found a job I was interested in up until I got to the “some medical insurance available” part. Wow, um, no. That just sounds scary.
I am currently obsessed with Doogie Howser, MD reruns on Hulu. What does that say about me?
